| Hmm... I know, this topic is for SLRR mods, but since it's my site, I guess I can do whatever I want, lol! OK, Eversince Boyd Coddington made Chezoom, I was deeply drawn to the car like a magnet! They started out with a '57 Chevy BelAir, stretched the body to fit on a Chevy Impala (Ithink it was the '63 model), fitted a Chevy Corvettte engine in it and made an entire new roof for it... In my opinion, it's the most beautiful hotrod EVER! So, since I'm kinda stuck with the scripting part of my current project, I was eager to do something new. It is NOT meant as a new mod for SLRR, but just for fun. Getting this car ingame would not be a good idea, because there are NO tuning parts for the car; it's a complete 1-off build... I think I'm only about 10% done, but I'll just show you 2 pics of what I have so far. And the other car on the pics...well... just try to figure out what that is... | |

| yeah, this is the "original" modification that Boyd Coddington has done, like 12 years ago.. It could very well be that you saw this particular car | |

| aha: you have found "Once a Knight" by Boyd's rival, Chip Foose. That car is a '56 BelAir, converted to roadster. BTW: the front windshield is from a '57 Ford Fairlane...
It's a pretty nifty car as well! but expensive too, and like in the documentary: it doesn't have cupholders...lol!

| Didn't Troy Trepanier build that '56?
The Chezoom looks freakin awesome so far, man. Did it really use a 70-72 Chevelle dash?
All these custom modernized classics owe it all to Boyd Coddington and the immortal CadZZilla, built for ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, hence the double Z's in it's name. It's the car that started this trend, way back in the late 80's early 90's. I think it was designed by Foose, too. But I could be wrong, it might've been Thom Taylor. Foose used to work with Boyd, but I think Boyd was too much of an @$$hole, which he can be (ever watch American HotRod?), and Foose left.

| you're prolly right about chip designing chezoom i think! even boyd's "masterpiece", the boydster is designed by chip, all 3 versions, lol! as far as the dash goes: i didn't have any references... so a dash from the chevelle seemed like a good option to me... i dunno if i'll update/redo the dash at a later time, but we'll see how it goes anyways: just a small updat: at the frontend, yay! that "mouth"wasn't easy to make tho... ah: before i forget: no, troy didn't made the chris titus car: that was a project from sam and chip, just so u know! and yes, i watch AHR!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! i know: boyd's a huge SOB, but i have to face facts here, that he was the one responsible for introducing independant suspensions on a hot rod, as well as MANY other things! and ya: i hate the fiber glass kitcars as well! BTW: Damn, JAG, you have a real eye for detail!!!!!!!!! i thought no-one was gonna find out about me sneakung in a chevelle dash!!! | |
